I encourage you to comment on anything I write here. Now a little bit about me:
I'm a writer/editor/photographer with a background in communications/media/journalism. I've spent most of the past five years as a Macintosh Computer Consultant, while honing my photography skills and anagramming ability. Once a year I like to impersonate Prince (see one of my icon pictures). I'm currently striving to make a living as a photojournalist.
I am a Word Freak or Word Nerd, which means I play Scrabble competitively. I have recently been ranked in the top 700 active players in North America and the top 100 in Canada. I almost qualified for the Canadian Scrabble Championships in 2005. I have played in the last four National Scrabble Championships in the United States (now known as the U.S. Scrabble Open, or U.S.S.O.
Since June 2005 I have been the Director of Scrabble in the City, a fun and casual downtown Scrabble club which meets Monday nights at Kilgour's Bar Meets Grill in The Annex area.
I currently own/use a 12" Powerbook, a G4 Cube with 17" Apple Cinema Dispay and a 60GB iPod (video). I shoot with Sony a W1 5.1 MP digital camera and my new Sony Alpha A-100 D-SLR. See my flickr site for a sampling of my photography.
I'm an avid music-lover with over 2000 CDs and too many gigabytes of music in my iTunes library. See my blog entries for a sampling of my music tastes.
